RAID Incorporated Announces the Release of ARI-600 Series
RAID Incorporated, the leader in providing customized storage systems that help organizations deliver the best time to results, is proud to announce the release of the ARI-600 Series, the third generation of its ARI systems, replacing the popular ARI-200 and ARI-400 Series.
While the new systems look and feel like its predecessors, the ARI-600 Series has new processors, interconnects, ASICS, advanced declustered RAID technology and self-healing storage technology (Self Sufficient Drive Restoration, or SSDR), which offer greater performance, higher capacities, faster than ever rebuild times and five nines availability (99.999%).
Increased performance is a major highlight of the series; the products boast 12GB/sec on sequential reads and 10GB/sec on sequential writes while also being able to sustain up to 740,000 random read IOPS in all-flash configurations. The systems can also be configured for several different file systems and applications, making the ARI-600 Series a perfect storage solution for many different verticals.
The product line comes in three form factor sizes, including a 2U 12-bay 3.5” (ARI-600), a 2U 24-bay 2.5” (ARI-603) and a 5U 84-bay (ARI-609). The ARI-609 product allows for hybrid configurations of SSD, 10K, and 7.2K HDD media with a maximum capacity of 6.7PB. The ARI-609 product is fully qualified to ship with 20TB HDDs while the ARI-603 supports SSD capacities of up to 15.36TB per slot. In addition, the latest generation ARI systems support 12Gb SAS as well as 32Gb FC and 25GbE iSCSI to leverage newer host connections available in the market.
“RAID Inc. is extremely excited for this product announcement,” stated Marc DiZoglio, General Manager of RAID Incorporated. “The ARI product has always been a work horse for our customers and, with the release of the next-generation ARI-600 Series, they can now gain significant performance increases. Our goal has always remained the same, and that is to be as fast and flexible as possible while providing first-in-class support to our customers.”
